Melania Trump is the first lady of the United States. She first stepped into the role in 2017, when her husband, President Donald Trump, was first sworn into office. On Jan. 20, 2025, Melania Trump became the first lady again after Trump was sworn into office for a second time.
Trump was born on April 26, 1970, in Slovenia. She is the second first lady to be born outside of the United States. The first was Louisa Catherine Adams, the wife of John Quincy Adams. Trump is the only first lady to become a naturalized U.S. citizen.
